Could You Tell Us A Bit About Yourself And How You Got Involved In Fitness?

I grew up in strict household and ended up rebelling quite early. I got to a point where I hit rock bottom. I had no goals or desires and was treating my body poorly. A friend suggested we join a gym in hope that we would stick to if it we went together.

Training gave me that spark that was missing for so long. I ended up competing 3 months after I had joined a gym in 2007. I aimed to compete in 1 show, but after I won the 1st show I kept going, and kept winning. I ended up winning 12 titles in my first year and travelled to Miami and New York to also compete at a international/world level. Since then I have been steadly competing every year.

What Helps You Stay Motivated?

I find motivation in my clients allot of the time. I’m so impressed by them and as much as they want me to be proud of them, I also want them to be proud of me. I also find that the better the results I achieve, the more motivating I get.

What Does Your Workout Look Like?

Monday: Shoulders

Tuesday: Back

Wednesday: OFF

Thursday: Chest

Friday: Hamstrings and glutes

Saturday: Arms and abs

Sunday: OFF

I stopped training legs for almost a year and most recently started. I have opted to focus only on hamstrings and glutes and do a more cardio style, high intensity workout.

How Often Do You Perform Cardio?

Morning and night, thanks to my Greek genes 🙂

What Does Your Diet Look Like?

During contest prep I start with oats, protein shakes, sweet potato, fish and veggies. I end up switching to keto in which I have eggs, fish, peanut butter and nuts.

What Do You Find Gives The Best Results When You Are Cutting?

Lots of cardio and steamed fish.

What Supplements Do You Use?

I always use BCAA, Glutamine on top of my multi vitamins and minerals. I have also been taking chlorophill, fish oil and evening primrose oil.

What Activities and Hobbies Do You Enjoy When You Are Away From The Gym?

Walking by a river or lake, nothing like fresh air and water to clear the mind.

What Are Your Favourite Supplements?

Maxines Burn Vanilla protein powder- So great with my oats! In the off season I love having this with a tablespoon of natural yoghurt. Maxs Supershred Mocha – It’s so thick and creamy I feel like i’m having real desert!

What 3 Exercises Have Contributed The Most To Building Your Physique?

Squats – to the point where I have had to stop, but I do believe they have created my lower body shape Lat pull down-Essential for a v-taper Side raises- My favorite excerise!

What Is Your Greatest Achievement?

Most would think it was placing top 5 in my first 2 pro shows, but it was actually winning the Nations before I was offered my pro card. I had never placed at the Nationals and still kept coming back every year in hope that I would place. When I won I was over the moon. That day they announced they would do a overall for the first time, after I won that I can honestly say I was speechless. I guess I had a modest 3 year plan, the desire just to place and one day taking out the title resulting in earning my pro card came much sooner than expected.

What Do You Love About Competing?

The mental challenges. I am my own worst enemy but always end up on top ion my mind. Every show makes me stronger and more educated about how my body works.

Tornament Of Champions Figure Pro Culver City in September, The Sheru Classic in Mumbai also in September, Aussie Pro show March 2012, New Zealand Pro show 2012.
