I am having trouble building my calve muscles! I have tried most exercises - calve raises, donkey raises ect but am still not getting the results I want. What is the best exercise for building massive calves.

Hey welcome to the board. Some people say to work the calves like any other muscle while another theory is to work them with more frequency and volume. My personal opion on training the caves is use the high volume/frequency approach. Your calves are used everyday day so when you train them you need to do high volume training (4-5 sets of 15 reps is my personal preference) and you need to train them at a high frequency ( 2-3 times a week, 4-5 times on the extreme end of the spectrum). The reasoning behind this is the calves are accostumed to being worked everyday whenever you walk, run, or do anything standing and so forth. Because of this they have become adapted after years and years of almost constant use and so need more stimulation to cause growth and they require less recovery time. Thats my opinion of calves.
