Could You Tell Us A Bit About Yourself And How You Got Involved In Fitness?

I have an exercise science degree and was an athlete all my life. Played NCAA division 1 soccer and semi-professional soccer during college. After I graduated I started working as a personal trainer and started focusing more and more on lifting. Started meeting people at the gym who competed and I went to my first show in July 2011. At that moment I knew I wanted this to be my life. I was built for it… the discipline, work ethic, and strength… I thrive off of it.

What Helps You Stay Motivated?

I have long term goals but in order to keep my eye on the prize I have to set short term goals every 3 months or so. Makes those long term goals much easier to digest and not so intimidating!

What Is Your Training Philosopy?

Typically train each body part once a week but am going to start training weak points (bi’s and tri’s, shoulders) twice a week to play some catch up. This is a tricky move but as long as your diet is sound and allows for this then the results are going to be amazing!

How Often Do You Perform Cardio?

In the off season I do cardio 4 x a week for 30 mins
In season it can go up to 60 mins 2 x a day 6 days a week!

What Does Your Nutrition Plan Look Like?

2 protein shakes a day and 4 small meals with protein, carbs, and fats

How Do You Deal With Cravings?

Crystal lite is a good way to deal with off season cravings because there really isn’t anything in it!!!

What Do Find Works Best When Cutting?

Fasted cardio in the AM and PM cardio after my last meal
